A documentary on Fred's unfinished project with some of his ex-mining friends to create a replica coal mine in the back garden of his house in Bolton, digging a 70ft deep shaft, with an underground railway leading from the bottom out to the side of a valley with the aim being to demonstrate the basic working of an early colliery.

3 Hours running time includes the full 60 minute BBC documentary, and 2 hours of previously unseen DVD extras including Fred outlining his grand plan for the mine, work on the pit bank, winding engine and the uncut bow and arrow scene.
